Au printemps, en pays lointain, je pense à mon amour qui me manque. Je donnerais les étoiles, le soleil, pour être avec lui ensemble pour l'éternité. Je me souviens...

about

For three decades, Nobuo Uematsu's timeless music has captured the attention of video game music fans from all walks of life. His compositions put RPG music on the map and have played a critical role in game music, both as an industry and art form.

We as musicians owe our careers and passion in some part to Uematsu-san and the Final Fantasy series. We hope to contribute to and honor that legacy by creating acoustic folk arrangements of our favorite songs. Happy 30th anniversary, Final Fantasy!

"The music of all the early Final Fantasy games heavily influenced the beginning of my unique composition style. Their lush but powerful melodies still inspire my music to this day. I hope to continue to create beautiful covers and original pieces of music based on those wonderful game scores. I want the Travelers VGM to keep exploring the high quality composition tradition seen in both old and new Final Fantasy soundtracks." - Masha Lepire

“As a young child, I remember that video game music was central to my budding interest in music. Nobuo Uematsu’s scores for the early Final Fantasy games were of particular note to me. I bought all of the soundtracks and arrange albums that came out for them, and I probably listened to them hundreds of times over the years. These early Final Fantasy games have shaped my musical interests and style over the years, leading me to become the musician I am today. Without Uematsu’s music, my interest in the musical arts would certainly not be what it is today. It is such an honor to be able to arrange and perform these pieces for you as part of The Travelers VGM!” - Ian Martyn

"Final Fantasy music got me to pay attention to game music. My first was Final Fantasy VII and then after that I have been hooked on game music. It even made me want to become a composer. I am who I am today because of listening to Uematsu-san's music back when I was thirteen years old. It is a pleasure to be able to revisit the classics and give them unique arrangements and performances!” - Josh Barron
