about

When finding out from Masha that we would be working with composer Justin Bell to craft an arrangement for him, I was quite taken. I arranged this rather quickly, probably due to the pressure! The original piece is beautiful with the use of gamelan and violin. It's simple yet full of emotion. I wanted to keep that simplicity yet offer a new, refreshing take, so I kept the gamelan part the same and arranged it for vibraphone, added guitar, bass, cello, violin, bodhrán, and ocarina. The idea was to make this sound like a song carried by the wind. I hope that I succeeded in that to the listeners. Thanks again to Justin Bell and Obsidian Entertainment for inviting us along to pay tribute to such a great game! And finally thank you to the whole Travelers VGM crew for working so hard to bring my arrangement to life! I couldn't have done it without them.
